Licencing

Did you know that although you purchase a piece of art you are still bound by Copyright Laws and Intellectual Property Laws.  This means that no part of the artwork or design can be copied, edited or reproduced without written approval by the artist.

Using an artwork or a design requires a licence agreement to be put in place that gives the client (YOU)  the right to copy, edit and reproduce the design to your needs.

I offer two types of licences for my clients; non-exclusive and exclusive.

- A Non-Exclusive Licence grants to the licensee the right to use the intellectual property, but means that the licensor remains free to exploit the same intellectual property and to allow any number of other licensees to also exploit the same intellectual property.

- An Exclusive Licence means that no person or company other than the named licensee can exploit the relevant intellectual property rights. Importantly, the licensor is also excluded from exploiting the intellectual property rights.
